Another Christmas Eve
It’s the time of year when I get knackered
When my hair and beard are heavily lacquered
I look my best in my size twelve wellies
This big red coat and my Christmas smellies
I only get out once a year you see
For all the children they believe in me
I’m not very special a bit funny looking
Overweight that’s down to my wife’s good cooking
I have to load my sleigh all on my own
The ugly gnomes do nothing but moan
My job takes me to countries far and wide
If a child’s not asleep I have to hide
My faithful reindeers keep me on the go
Except the one with a red nose he’s slow
Children go to bed and some may dream
Of an old whiskered man on his flying machine.
